Dianne Aguirre One Woman Show

Sampson Center for the Arts · 1224 Orchard Ave. · Grand Junction, CO

Free admission

Reno artist Dianne Aguirre came to the Grand Valley as a visitor, and the Mesa's breathtaking sweep, the rows of vines, and the light over the vineyards have her thinking about moving here in 2027. Her new vineyard series looks at the valley from two angles: she flies her own drone over the vineyards and paints from that footage, and she walks the grounds with her camera, collecting close-up details of weathered barns, old trucks, and ripening fruit. The series portrays Colorado Cellars, Grande River Vineyards, Peachfork Orchards and Vineyard, Restoration Vineyard, Two Rivers Chateau, and Whitewater Hill Vineyard. Some canvases are finished and others are still in progress. Aguirre has also been named resident artist for Whitewater Hill Vineyard. Visitors can meet the artist, see the series in person, and hear the story behind each painting. Admission is free. Open nightly from 6 to 10 PM, Monday, Oct. 26 through Friday, Oct. 30.
