History at High Noon: 100 Years of GJ's own, Enstrom Candies - Central Library

The Mesa County Oral History Meetings typically take place on a monthly basis at the Central Library in Grand Junction from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and are free of charge for the public to attend. History at High Noon is held from 12 pm to 1 pm on the third Thursday of the month in the Central Library Community Room, in partnership with the Mesa County Historical Society. Jamee Simons explores the long history of Grand Junction’s own Enstrom’s Candy Company, detailing the life of her grandfather, founder Chet Enstrom. She will cover his early business efforts on the eastern slope, the move to Grand Junction in May 1929, and the path he took to business and civic success on the western slope. Come hear the remarkable story as the 100th anniversary of the company approaches. Seating is first-come, first-served.
